Leadership and management consulting: Strengthening nonprofit operations, partnerships, and local, state, and national coalitions, including the Taxpayer Opportunity Network and the National Community Tax Coalition.

Financial empowerment strategy: Designing practical approaches for free tax assistance, financial coaching, multi-benefit outreach, legacy and estate planning, and record-keeping support for self-employed and micro-business clients.

Data, fundraising, and sustainability: Helping organizations demonstrate effectiveness, protect consumer data, secure grants and contracts, develop individual giving, and generate in-kind support.

Training and technical assistance: Creating and delivering peer learning, one-on-one technical assistance, group training, learning management system curriculum, train-the-trainer content, and practitioner materials.

Communications and advocacy: Developing messaging, branding, outreach, and advocacy strategies that engage consumers, stakeholders, funders, policymakers, and public leaders.

Society for Free Tax Assistance

The Society for Free Tax Assistance is a project of JC Craig Consulting that supports tax assistance volunteers, including participants in the IRS VITA, TCE, and LITC programs, through peer engagement, training, and shared resources.
